ALL ABOUT THAT #BIRDCHAT

19TH AVE SHOPPING CENTRE

When the brief calls for Australian flora & fauna, lots of texture and a bunch of bright colours, all we can say is… “When can we start!?” Any excuse to draw birds and flowers - you can count Kiel in. Always one to incorporate local relevance into his work (and being a local, this was especially important to him), Kiel featured Little Corella, birds often found sitting on the lamp posts outside the centre or in the banksia trees across the creek.

Initially we had planned to paint this space, but due to the panel location not being feasible for install we made the decision to go for printing and installing a sail track banner instead—which was a much better option, as we could then use the lightbox function for maximum creative impact at night. It’s pretty neat to be able to drive past this install on our daily commute. Plus... we’ll always welcome any excuse for #birdchat
